I’ll keep my Sunday liturgy reflections short and to the point.
“Kindness and truth shall meet;
justice and peace shall kiss.”
Today’s Mass spoke directly to my heart. I mean, all the readings speak to my heart but today I felt it spoke to me with an emphasis on ministry. My pastor gave a beautiful sermon about pursuing one’s ministry or apostolate and our individual responsibility by virtue of our baptism. I love this because I just started this blog with the idea of spreading the gospel message. Though I do not know what will come of this blog, being a Catechist, tutor, or being a student of the Pastoral Formation Institute, I hope I can bring value to someone one day. And of course, I pray for my first and most important vocation of being a wife and mother that forms her household in the Catholic faith.
These are the verses that stood out the most to me today:
“Go, prophesy to my people Israel…”
“In him, you also, who have heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation, and have believed in him,
were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
which is the first installment of our inheritance
toward redemption as God’s possession, to the praise of his glory.”
“He instructed them to take nothing for the journey
but a walking stick”
