Here I share the top 10 Catholic Scripture Verses for Difficult Times.
It’s inevitable you’re going to fall on difficult times in your life. This is why it’s important to recall the promises God has revealed to us in scripture.
At the moment, major repairs are going on in my home. This is due to the water damage caused by a leak. It is both costly and stressful for us. For the next two weeks, repairs will be done in our kitchen and living room making half our home unaccessible. On top of that, one of my children’s ongoing therapy will not be covered by insurance.
I am not sharing this with you to complain about my circumstances. But rather, to highlight that life has tough challenges that come like waves. Whatever is causing you trouble now, will come to pass. All we need to do is trust in God.
Since life is full of challenges we need to be ready. It is prudent to have good scripture verses to go to in hard times. This is why I have compiled a list of 10 scripture verses should you need to turn to when you are facing adversity in your life.
# 10 Isaiah 41:10
Do not fear: I am with you; do not be anxious: I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.
Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat [or drink], or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they?
Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span?
Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? So do not worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear?’ All these things the pagans seek.
Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom [of God] and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.
